Program notes: The title and energy of the work are inspired by opal gemstones, which seem to have color perpetually exploding within. Though built entirely from acoustic pianos, the track is unapologetically maximalist--drawing inspiration from Breath of the Wild, modal jazz, and Tigran Hamasyan.
